The hills and valleys around Chiang Mai and in the area know as the “Golden Triangle” are blessed with rich soil, rain and sunlight that provide perfect growing conditions for our farm fresh products. We want to be located directly at the source to secure and process our agricultural products immediately at the time of harvest. Freshness is a key to our quality. Jiaogulan grows wild in the mountains. Mangosteen is also native to Thailand where it enjoys the title “Queen of Fruits.” Noni has grown here for centuries. In terms of the availability of low cost, fresh, indigenous agricultural produce we could not be in a better place.
Much of the agriculture in this area of Thailand known as “Lanna” (Land of One Million Rice Fields) is conducted by small scale farmers using traditional farming techniques which are part of the culture. Natural fertilizers as well as natural pesticides are essential to the traditional farming methods practiced here over the centuries. Thai Freeze Dry works with farmers who are organically certified or those who use traditional techniques to produce wild-crafted farm products without the use of chemicals.
