Jiaogulan (“je-ow-goo-lan”) is native to South West China, well known for the longevity of its inhabitants (where it is called “Xiancao” or “Herb of Immortality”) and other countries throughout Asia. Jiaogulan is an adaptogenic herb and natural antioxidant with substantial scientific research to back up it claims.* The green leaves have qualities similar to the ginseng root. Scientists have identified 82 sapogins in jiaogulan, which is the broadest range in any one plant found in nature (ginseng has 28 sapogins). The sapogin glycosides have a regulatory effect on our bodily systems such as blood pressure, immune system, reproductive system, nervous system. An adaptogen increases the body’s natural abilities to respond to stress. Should your body require rest, jiaogulan helps you to rest. Should you require to be energized, it increases your energy.
